My Advent Calendar

Okay so I had seen a similar project somewhere, twopeas I believe, and just had to have a take at it. I created an advent calendar out of little envelopes, mini clothes pins, Teresa Collins Noel collection (Love this collection I have created so much with it), some stickles, some dollar store snowflake ornaments, some jillibean soup twine, and a thrift store picture frame. I'm not going to lie...I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way it turned out. I struggled a little with creating something different on each of the 25 envelopes and yes I love some more then others but over all I think it is beautiful and I'm sure that it will be around for years to come. I didn't have it completed until after the 1st of Dec, it was the 5th to be exact when I finished it :(, so I didn't put treats in the envelopes for my kiddos like I had originally planned but I will for sure be adding treats to each day next year. I hope all of you are enjoying the holiday season!

Boo Halloween Card

Here is my latest creation. I made this adorable little Boo Halloween card for the Finally Friday Challenge over at TwoPeasInABucket. I am also going to use this card along with the 11 others that I'm in the process of making for my card club swap for this month at my local scrapbook store. I think he turned out super cute! Lots of time though yikes! Not exactly what I had in mind when I started I just kept adding more and more and more. But I love him so I guess that makes it all worth it. Here is a couple close up shots of the little banner that I made and the glitter on the BOO. I think it added just enough to make it pop!
Here is the side view. It has a lot of dimension as I layered the little ghost (which I cut from my paper doll cricut cartridge) on top of a paper accordian flower. The little banner is pop dotted up from the ghost. So probably not anything that I'm going to send in the mail but he is sure cute!

Hope you enjoyed my creation today. We are getting ready for what we hope to be a wonderful weekend. We have my nieces birthday party tomorrow and I'm sure we will find a few other things to busy up our weekend. Have a great weekend!

Just a Card I Lifted!

Okay so I totally lifted this from "olleharr" at scrapbook.com http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=319957&m=view&id=2582107&type=-1&page=1&f=1 She has some amazing projects if you have time to check out her gallery. Lots of inspiration there!

I just loved her design when I saw it and knew I had to lift it. I liked the way it turned out and thought that I should share as I haven't posted on here in well, lets see, forever. Just wanted to drop in and say hello! Thanks for looking!

Bo Bunny Peacock Lane layout

Hey everyone thanks for stopping by today. I hope everyone is have a great day. Just got home from work a little while ago and jumped onto blog land to see what I missed those couple of hours while I was away!!! I missed a lot...who is loving this CHA stuff?Just found out about the new cricut imagine today...wow...it is sure impressive. Not sure how I'm going to convince my husband that I really do need one....but I'm sure going to try! If you haven't seen it yet check it out here....http://everythingcricut.blogspot.com/2010/07/latest-from-provo-craftthe-cricut.html . AWESOME!!! Okay onto my layout!
Again I need some help with taking pictures of these. This is another layout that I did for my local scrapbook store dt using the bo bunny peacock lane. I'm not going to lie and tell you I love everything about this line...well because I don't. I love love love the colors though. Greens, purples and teals. Love it! Not a huge fan of the peacock though? I don't know why but the little bird does nothing for me. Oh well I still will enjoy all the wonderful colors in this line. So fun.

These are pictures of my daughter and some day hubby, i mean next door neighbor Riley, on their first day of summer school. It was also their first time riding on a bus. It was kind of an emotional day for me. I was super nervous about letting her ride the bus and on the way down to the bus stop Riley's Grandma, Nana Judi, found a 4 leaf clover. Seriously I have spent hours upon hours if not days of my life looking for 4 leaf clovers and she spots one while we are walking and just picks it. It was pretty cool and I knew that it was our lucky day! It was kind of fun for all of us.

These flowers were made from the noteworthy tags. I just folded and shaped them into flowers. i thought they turned out pretty cute and just added some punches and some other flowers and buttons.
Well thanks for stopping by today. Hope you enjoy the layout! Have a great Friday everyone!

Bo Bunny Sun Kissed Layout

Here is one of the layouts I just did recently for my local scrapbook store dt. The bo bunny sunkissed was collection was perfect for these fun summer pictures at the park. My two little cuties decided to pick me flowers and they were so proud of themselves. Man I sure love those two!

I'm really on the banner kick right now. I was just talking to a friend today how she always knows what the latest trend is because that is what I'm doing! I know I don't mean to be a follower but seriously these little banners are so so so so cute and an awesome way to use up some scraps.

I also doodled around my layout with a black pen. I think that I might doodle a little to much. I always seem to have a pen out lately, wanting to doodle on something.

Just a close up of the journalling nothing to crazy special but I think that every layout needs a little journalling. I want my children and grandchildren and whoever else to look back and be able to have an idea of the story that was behind the pictures without me telling it.

I am trying so very hard to post my projects on here more often. I don't think the posting is actually the problem. It is taking the pictures of the projects...I never take pictures and have been trying so hard to lately. If I could just get some good pictures of them. None of my pictures seem to do my layouts or cards or whatever justice :( Anyone have an good photography tips for taking pictures of their projects. I could use all the help I can get!!

Thanks for looking and I hope everyone is having a great day!

Imaginisce Winner

Okay seriously I am on cloud 9 right now. I was deleting emails today that I haven't read because they are spam or something like that and I come across again and email blocked from scrapbook.com/imaginisce that I'm a winner. I was going to delete it because usually if it sounds to good to be true it is...but I opened it. I'm so happy that I did because I was one of Imaginisce winners. I won a sample of Cottage Christmas and the new "I-Rock Tool"!!!! Oh my gosh I'm so excited!! First of all i love love love Imaginisce and all the great CHA Sneaks and I have been drooling over the new I Rock tool since I first saw it on their blog. I can't seem to find one locally so I have been waiting for my next trip to a bigger city to see if I could find one. Oh man and now I see that I won one and that is even better! Thank you so much Imaginisce for your wonderful give-a-way! I'm seriously just so happy! Go over and check out their blog for all the CHA sneaks and then call your local scrapbook store and tell them everything that you want!! Thanks again for making my day!

I love you

Here is a layout I lifted from "karenika" from twopeasinabucket. I just loved everything about her design and knew that I had to lift it. I just fell in love with the title too, so cute. I used the Girls Paperie paper...love love love this line. The paper, the letter stickers, and the charm are all from this line. The rose is a flower that I made. I might have to post a tutorial on this. Super cute and super easy to make. Here is a close up of the flower and the charm.

I hope you enjoyed my layout. Thanks again for stopping by!

One Happy Little Girl!

Birthday banner I made from My Minds Eye Products...the picture doesn't do it justice. It turned out super cute.

This is a bad picture but the only one I got of the group. We are missing a few of the boys but this is most of them.

Elly and Evan riding Anne (the horse) at her party!

A princess must never ride her horse without her princess slippers on.

Princess Elly and her pink castle cake. Happy 5th Birthday Sweetheart, Mommy loves you so very much!

Wow what a great princess/pirate birthday party we ended up having. Things didn't go according to plans but it still turned out to be a wonderful day. I forgot to take a picture of the invite so I will have to post that later. I actually didn't get to take very many pictures that day as I was to busy running around after kiddos! We had so much fun though and Elly had "the best birthday party ever"....those were her words exactly that and "I have a horse at my party" with a huge grin on her face. She was just tickled pink that her Uncle Scott brought over Anne (the horse) so that everyone could have a ride. Here are a few pictures from the day. I hope you enjoy and I will try to be back soon with some projects that I have been working on. Thanks for stopping by!

Princess/Pirate Birthday Party Ideas NEEDED!

Okay so my daughters birthday is coming up and once again I have put the party plans off way to long. Why do I do this year after year? She has had her princess party all planned since the day after her birthday last year! LOL....seriously! She loves to watch you tube videos on decorating cakes and found a castle cake that she would like me to make for her. Looks a little difficult but that is the least of my worries right now. Her bday is less then 2 weeks away and I have nothing planned....besides the kind of cake that she wants. No invites, no idea the names and addresses of kids in her class, the games we can play, what to serve, how to decorate....wow my list goes on and on. You got the idea...I have nothing planned. I'm thinking that since this will be her first party with friends coming that I will invite boys too. So it is going to be a princess/pirate party. I found a pretty simple invite that I think i can whip up in the next day or two but after that I got nothing. Does anyone in blog land have any great ideas for me...i need all the help I can get!

Okay I'm not going to lie...I'm pretty impressed with myself that I'm going to be posting another post. Wow! Maybe I can do this. I just need to take some more pictures of things that I have done so that I have something to post about. Not sure you all want to hear about all the crazy exciting stuff that goes on in my house everyday. Well you probably do but I don't know if you can had this craziness yet. Maybe later this week I can tell you a funny story about my son, Evan, who is 2. It has something to do with him and the floor vent! I'm pretty sure you will never in a million years guess what he did.

Here is a project that I made a month ago probably of a day at the apple orchard. It isn't anything fancy it was really easy to put together but I love the end results. I had used a sketch for this layout. I'm not sure exactly where I got the sketch from and I can't seem to find it anywhere otherwise I might have posted it with this.

I had seen a sticker somewhere which was my inspiration for the apple I created in my title. Super cute and a very quick layout to put together.

I have had a pretty busy weekend and need to try to catch up on some house work. Then to top it all off my hubby just called from work and he is coming home sick. It is so 11 and I haven't done anything yet today. Good thing he has an hour long trip home so I can run around all crazy like and at least try to make it look like I haven't been hanging out in blog land this beautiful Monday morning! Thanks for stopping in and who knows maybe you will see me again tomorrow??

Wow!

Okay so I haven't been on here in forever. I know I know I'm a total slacker. I really want to figure out this whole blog thing and post ideas and projects that I'm working on but for some reason it just never happens. It is so half way through the month of May already but I'm going to commit to posting 4 more times this month with pictures! What do you think? Probably isn't going to work just like the diet and the budget....but it sounds good right. I have to at least try. Cross your fingers!

So I was so excited to log onto my blog tonight and to see 2 comments. ( Yeah I really haven't been on my blog since March. How sad is that?) Wow my first comments ever. I'm way excited....I'm super duper excited. But the coolest part of all is that it is Shelly....yes Shelly from House of Smiths and Julie from Starting Now....Seriously wow! I mean they are practically famous...well they are famous at my house anyways. They are 2 very talented ladies that I happen to pop in on at least once a day, if not more. Yes I'm a blog stalker! Shelly has the most amazing home improvement blog and vinyl lettering business and Julie is a scrapbooker who makes amazing sketches...love them both! Thanks ladies for the wonderful comments. Makes me feel like maybe I can actually be someone in this blog world. Maybe someone really will see me....maybe! Thanks for the kind words and hopefully I can create something again to make you pop in and say hello!

Wow Wow Wow is all I can say right now. I kind of want to wake up the hubby and tell him about it but it is so 12:56 am and he'll be like Shelly who? Julie who? Then I will remind him of the funny story about the lady that left a bad comment on Shelly's blog and how she posted it all for everyone to see....and Julie the one I just made that awesome scrapbook page with the kids at Easter using her sketch? Then he will remind me that I'm crazy and to go to bed.

Good Night all, thanks again ladies!

Crepe Paper Roses

Hey everyone I just wanted to share a project that I made this weekend. I had found some tutorials on a couple of ladies blogs that I follow and just had to make these crepe paper roses. It was so fun and so rewarding and pretty cheap. I made roses to put on a ball but I think that I will also be making these roses to put on cards and scrapbook pages as well. They are so fun and so so cute!

I just used crepe paper that I picked up at Target, I think it was about $1.50 a roll and for the 8" ball that I used I used 1 1/2 rolls. The Styrofoam ball was the most expensive at 15.99 but i used a 40 percent coupon at Michael's to purchase it, so whatever that comes out to be, like $8.50. I love the finished product and can't wait to finish a couple more. I'm hoping to hang them in my scrapbook room when I get it all cleaned up and put together. (who knows when that will happen though?) I will link up the ladies that I got the ideas from. First it was Danielle over at homespun with heart (http://danielleflanders.blogspot.com/2010/01/crepe-paper-roses.html) Danielle also has a wonderful video showing you how to make these beautiful roses. She uses tissue paper but it is the same idea. Then there is the House of Smith's blog that I have just found. She has some wonderful home decorating ideas along with a vinyl business that she does. You need to check her out also, this is where I got the idea for the crepe paper rolls from Target. (http://houseofsmiths.blogspot.com/2010/02/hanging-roses-i-was-browsing-blogs.html)
I hope you all enjoy! Have a great Monday everyone!

So I went on over to there blog and they have the most amazing contest going on. You will never believe it...I almost don't want to tell anyone about it as it will increase the entries and decrease my chances of winning but here it goes anyways. Happy 1st day of March to you!

I just wanted to share a quick picture of the valentines that Elly and I made for her class this year. This was my first year handing out valentines and let me tell you I had so much fun. I almost want to start making some for next year, almost! We ended up making sucker valentines and it was so quick and easy, not to mention inexpensive. We used 2 pieces of card stock, some ribbon, and suckers. Can't get much easier then that. I think they turned out great! I hope you enjoy and I hope to return with some of the other fun projects I have been creating lately. I need to update this blog on a regular basis. I'm so busy reading other blogs i don't have time to post on my own. Thanks again for stopping by!
